3. If you’re happy, you can place an order. You’ll need to pay a 50% deposit up-front
4. After you've paid the deposit, Mia will complete an initial sketch and send it to you for approval. You can request changes to the sketch.
5. When you're happy with the sketch, you'll need to send the remaining 50% payment and she will begin the painting.
6. When the painting is complete, you can collect it free of charge from Uckfield, East Sussex - or you can arrange for it to be delivered.
When the painting is finished, you can collect it from Uckfield, East Sussex (UK) free of charge, or you can arrange delivery. For example, you may wish to use Royal Mail or FedEx to collect the painting and deliver it to your address. Mia will package the painting for you in a box using bubblewrap (no extra charge for packaging). We recommend that you purchase delivery insurance as it will cover you in case of damage during transit. We know it's a bit unusual to have to arrange your own delivery, but Mia can help you do it if you need guidance.
Due to the unique and personalised nature of our service, we do not offer returns in the same manner as a typical online store. Your pet portrait is categorised as 'Custom Made Goods' under the UK Consumer Rights Act 2015. This classification reflects the bespoke nature of each artwork, tailored specifically to your requirements. To ensure your satisfaction, we have a preliminary step in our process. Initially, the artist will provide you with a preliminary sketch based on your specifications. This is your opportunity to request any amendments to ensure the final product meets your expectations. If, at this stage, you are not satisfied with the sketch, you can request a refund of your deposit. This policy is in place to give you confidence in the direction of the artwork before proceeding further. However, once you have approved the sketch and the order is finalised, the commission becomes non-returnable and non-refundable. This policy reflects the custom, labor-intensive nature of the artwork, which is created exclusively for you. We encourage open communication during the sketch phase to ensure your final piece is as envisioned. Yes, but the delivery costs outside of the UK can be quite high. You can look up delivery prices yourself on FedEx or UPS (collection from Uckfield, East Sussex, UK) or we can do it for you - just click "get a quote", fill in the form and we'll get back to you.
